City to Hold Public Workshops on Water Rates
The City of San Diego Public Utilities Department (SD-PUD) has scheduled three public workshops August 14, 15 and 16 to present information on potential alternative water rate structures.
These workshops are being held to review with stakeholders and customers SD-PUD’s current potable water rate structure and to solicit public input on how this structure might best be changed in the future. This process will not result in rate changes, and is only to gather input.
These workshops are the first step in a public process that will aid in developing potable water rate options that will be brought back to stakeholders and customers for further input in the spring of 2018. This continued input process will result in the development of potential alternative water rate structures that will be shared with the San Diego City Council in a public hearing in the summer of 2018.
